WARNING: The following is a very intimate discussion of my innards. Squeamish folks should click away now. My colonoscopy results were better than the worst case scenario, but not 100% awesome. I may not have mentioned it before but, for awhile now, if I spend a long time walking or even just on my feet, or if I get an upset stomach and have the big D, then I get pretty profuse bleeding from my bum. Naturally, it is alarming, and thus I scheduled the scope. It was not particularly painful, so I was truly concerned that I had a polyp (or worse) or perhaps just internal hemorrhoids. The results showed that I do have internal roids pretty high up, and according to the gastroenterologist, they are not the worst she has ever seen but she said *they certainly aren*t flat.* She suggested that I get them banded in the office sometime soon.
